This is a beautiful Makeup Bag made from vintage hand stitched Kantha quilt. It has water proof lining and two pockets on the inside making it ideal to store makeup and toiletries. It's also equipped with a high quality YKK zip.
Every Kantha quilt is one of a kind, we make a small handful of bags from each quilt meaning every bag will be completely unique. Due to this colours/ designs can vary slightly.
Some have signs of wear exposing the stunning layers below while others have small patches/ stains, adding additional charm and individuality.
What is Kantha?
Kantha quilts are made using numerous layers of recycled silk or cotton saris which are hand stitched in the traditional Bengal style called Kantha. What originated as a cost effect way to produce warm blankets has developed over the years into a beautiful art form, creating truly unique one off designs.
